This fic definitely doesn’t have the amount of attention it deserves…because I think it deserves all the attention everywhere. It’s set in a very creepy and dark version of London, where creatures called Witch-kins roam the streets at night. Sherlock is a hunter who kills these things and he finds John in the streets one night.
Wow this is good.
TW: TV Suicide
Oh god oh god oh god oh god D:
I don’t support this theory
but what if it was Richard who shot himself on the rooftop and Jim is alive it was just his twin that died
RICHARD BROOK = RICHARD MORIARTY = JIM’S TWIN BROTHER YES I LIKE THIS
DONT LET MOFFAT SEE THIS
MORIARTYS TWIN SHIT SON
no, guys, it doesn’t have to be his twin - we never saw the real Moriarty on screen, because he was paying an actor to play him. Since we never saw him, he didn’t have to look anything like him. It would also explain why Rich Brook’s CV was so credible - it wasn’t scrambled together at the last minute, he’d been there from the start. Moriarty had been using an actor as his agent ever since we first saw him appear.
He doesn’t like to get his hands dirty…
Plot twist to END ALL PLOT TWISTS
MOTHER OF FUCK
This is why fandom hurts me
Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

The name Donovan originally appeared in Gaelic as O Donnabhain, derived from the words “donn,” which means “brown,” and “dubhan,” a derivative of “dubh,” which means black.”
And John remains blissfully unaware that The Doctor visited Sherlock years ago and gave him the skull. It was a skull he’d discovered in a ruined church, a thousand years in the future. He couldn’t re-bury it in the grave it came from, because that was completely destroyed, so he took it and gave it to a young Sherlock.
‘This will keep you company until you meet him,’ the Doctor said with a smile.
Sherlock took the skull and immediately began examining it. ‘Who is it? Or rather, who was it?’
‘It’s all that’s left of an old man who lived a good life and became the most important person in yours’.
The Doctor never gave him the name he so desperately wanted, but as soon as he met John Watson on that fateful day in St. Bart’s, Sherlock knew.
Well I guess I’ll go to bed with these feels now.
If you haven’t yet seen the first episode of Sherlock, or have and want to watch it over and over (which you will) go download it! You’ll love it. :)

“You should try to imagine the fandom’s reaction if the next big Holmes adaptation to come along had Holmes and Watson as British, yeah - young black British men, living case to case on a council estate in a dodgy area of London…“ [x]
I read this post and absolutely LOVED the idea with a burning passion. The headcast this person chose was perfect since I loved Attack The Block so much, so I decided to make an AU Poster. Thank you Sophistory, I’m hooked. <3
legit getting chills, oh my god
For a second I thought these were actual TV promos.
We now has a sad.
Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone.
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling in the sky the message He is Dead,
Put crêpe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.
He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever, I was wrong.
The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun.
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.
London, that great cesspool into which all the loungers and idlers of the Empire are irresistibly drained.
[…] try to imagine fandom’s reaction if the next big Holmes adaptation to come along had Holmes and Watson as British, yeah - young black British men, living case to case on a council estate in a dodgy area of London. How fandom would react if Sherlock Holmes didn’t employ street kids and homeless people like trained animals to do his bidding, but instead was part of that invisible underclass; if instead of having his eccentricities tolerated~ by Scotland Yard on account of being the Great White Genius, Sherlock Holmes, BME, school dropout, and sometime addict, was regarded by the police as practically a criminal already, one more thug, one more junkie, one more dealer in the making. If he had to choose between buying the week’s groceries or palming a twenty to a bored constable for the chance to spend five minutes on a crime scene, in the hope that whoever’s under enough pressure to deal with crime rates in the neighbourhood will pay him enough for a perp to feed himself and Watson for a month or two. If the greatest threat to his safety were police brutality, or the prospect of being done for a snitch; if his arch enemy weren’t Moriarty, but the systemic poverty and inequality that has him helping out his oppressors just to get by, and that makes the other side of the law look more tempting to someone with his skills every day.
I would watch the hell out of that. I’d even write for it. What do you do with Mycroft being part of the “Establishment” then? Mycroft works at the local youth center? Mycroft as a pastor, deeply disapproving of his brother’s failure to reject street culture and conform? Hell, Mycroft IS the police? Token affirmative-action face of colour, should have made DI ages ago but is still a PC even though half the force secretly ask his help? And because they resent Mycroft, they resent Sherlock even more, fueling the rivalry? Lestrade can stay a DI, with the authority to choose to work with either Holmes but not enough authority to force everyone else to do so.
I’m curious to see how Mrs Hudson and Moriarty would work in this.
Holy fuck this would be truly awesome. Mrs Hudson could be a nice woman who occasionally makes the boys a meal or offers up a warm bed during severe weather. And Moriarty, fuck. He could be like a well-to-do man who previously was in Sherlock’s situation. He somehow moved on from that kind of life, and sees a lot of himself in Sherlock actually, but hates for that reminder. Wants to take Sherlock down, put him back in his place.
Shit, this would be bloody brilliant.
aaaaalllll stuff I want to cram into the ‘#221b baker towers’ tag proper. DAMN YOU TUMBLR.
I will always reblog this.
…Would Moriarty be one of those white-collar/politician guys who pull the strings to keep large sections of the population in miserable poverty, making them more likely to turn to crime (which he organizes?) And Sherlock and Watson have such a hard time uprooting him because Moriarty IS the establishment.
Well. I believe we want this now.
It took me a long time to realize that the ending of ASiB might have been hinting that Sherlock and Irene had sex in the desert. First Sherlock butchered a bunch of terrorists then had sex outside with someone of the same intellect. Sounds like Sherlock’s ideal first time.
I don’t think they were hinting at that, really… but you’re of course entitled to your opinion.
I am baffled as to how someone can even make that leap in logic.
How does this even work? I don’t get it at all.
Wait, what? I don’t understand why anyone would think that. This makes absolutely no sense to me.
Is this more of this rescue-damsel-in-distress-get-rewarded type shit?
I have NO idea. I can’t even work my brain to jump from point A to point B here. Usually I can sort of work my brain around something, even if I don’t AGREE with it. But this time? I can’t figure it out at all.
I still don’t see it. To me, Sherlock only seems interested in her as a puzzle, not in a sexual way.
But we also didn’t notice that “let’s have dinner” was code for “let’s have sex,” so there you have it.
